I got that Dr. who episode guide for just £4 from a bargain bookshop.
He gives some remarkably surprising marks out of ten for some Doctor Who stories, like 7/10 for Talons of Weng-Chiang (I tend to agree with him) and 10/10 for Paradise Towers (I like it, but that is being incredibly generous).
… well he leaves himself open with this claim “but has never strayed from its first and most important remit: telling damn good stories.” Um…. yes it has.
Try and listen to the podcast for BBC Radio 2 today. It is very entertaining! You get to hear every bit of trivia and titbits known to mankind about Star Wars.
PS World exclusive for you – the BBC have confirmed today that the Sarah Janes Adentures will continue without Elisabeth Sladen. A new series is being commissioned as we speak!
That is interesting. Do you think Sarah Jane could work with a new actress?
King Hulk, you should check out the newest blog entry on Gary Miller’s site. It is about John Byrne leaving the Hulk back in 1986. It seems that is partially related to the all splash page issue that was published in Marvel Fanfare. Shooter said it was meant for issue 320 but their was a misunderstanding between Byrne Denny O’neil and Shooter that led Byrne to leaving.. Shooter admits however that their was tension with him and Byrne before this so it was a number of factors involved. He does not mention what the other problems were.

Hello gentlemen,
It looks like the information that was released to the UK press was wrong (apparently). Apologies!
Zeno I have read the information on Gary’s site very interesting indeed. Have you had the chance to read the email I sent you last week?

King Hulk which email was this? WE talked about Mantlo and Shooter but when did we mention Byrne?

Eek… not a great idea on renewing the Sarah Jane Smith series without Lis Sladen. Thanks for the news though!

Thankfully, the Beeb decided against this idea: http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/bbc-ends-dr-who-spin-off-after-sladens-death_1216913
“Bosses at the Bbc have decided to close down filming on Dr Who spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures following the death of the series’ star Elisabeth Sladen last month (Apr11).”
