Lego Batman 2 game to include more heroes

Everyone loves Arkham City, but one of the most enjoyable family-oriented video games of a comic book character remains Lego Batman. Set in a pixelated version of Gotham City, the player has the ability to control the dark knight himself, Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl. In later stages, access to Arkham asylum becomes available, allowing for the use of several members of Batman’s rogue’s gallery such as Mr. Freeze, the Joker, Penguin and even more recent villains such as Hush.

From the leaked info below, the sequel looks to be an immense expansion on the first game by opening up the playable characters to include other members of the Justice League such as Superman and Green Lantern!

The probability of a DC Universe Lego-themed video game has run high since Lego purchased its license. Evidence has appeared of where Superman, Wonder Woman and other DC superheroes will first appear in a Lego video game, and it’s not where you might expect.

An image leak from BrickTuts from next year’s previously announced Lego Batman 2 video game clearly shows Superman, in brick form, flying high above Batman. If you look closely, you can also spot Wonder Woman in the claw of a giant robot, as well as the Joker dangling off a helicopter.

The image’s source claims Lego Batman 2 will feature “all” DC Universe characters, but more specifically will feature Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Superman. The Justice League will be alive and well in Lego form, assuming you’re willing to build it.

More as it comes…
