Remember the joy and wonder that you had a small boy (or large man with a disposible income) when you first held a 3.75 inch action figure? Not nearly as cumbersome and stauesque as todays action figure/dolls that are based on this or that modern cartoonist’s look, these were TOYS.
Be it Star Wars to G.I. Joe to Super Powers or even Micronauts, the small action figure has always held a kind of fascination for me. It might be down to the memory of hiding a Han Solo figure in the pencil tray of my desk. Only I knew he was there and I didn’t get yelled at for bringing toys to school.
Finally a modern day 3.75 inch action figure line is on its way, Marvel Comics’ Fury Files. Based loosely on the current Secret Skrull Invasion that has placed hero against hero, the line of toys is bolstered by a genuine sense of drama and action.
Arriving a few months after the quiet and modest DC Universe Infinite Heroes line, Fury’s Files looks to be much more dynamic. Figures are more detailed and are even packaged with special accessories from Spider-Man’s webbing to a battle spear for the Black Panther or even an energy effect for Iron Fist.
Pictures of the toys leaked at this year’s San Diego Comic Con and posted by ActionFigureInsider, causing an uproar with comic fans and toy collectors and looking at the photo gallery it is easy to see why!

The first wave of figures is expected to hit the shelves next February… so make room on your desks, guys!
