I like your observation about that silly “Superior” title, they’re making the book a hostage to fortune with a name like that. It’s too reminiscent of the spoof The Egomaniacal Spider-Man; I wonder if this Spidey will turn out to be Charles Emerson Winchester III from M*A*S*H or Niles from Frasier?! I don’t wish to prejudge it but this seems like yet another gimmick. They’d be idiots not to revive the Amazing title as it’s so classic, so it makes it all the more pointless. The “throwing s**t against the wall” approach is never good!

There was a time when I couldn’t imagine myself missing comics, and especially Spider-Man comics… I ditched them during the “clone saga” but came back after a year… and things were better for a while… but it seems like the good stuff isn’t meant to last anymore.

I find myself longing for issues of old to read and re-read and mostly blissfully ignorant of anything happening in the new books… and barely even curious.
