Ah, sagely self-righteous righter of wrongs. You are wrong. The Black Panther is the first AFRICAN superhero. The Falcon is African-American. So I think you may have just renewed your Klan membership by referring to both as black. Not sure on that. Since you are so up to date on the high tech future we live in, why not check out the ‘about me’ page on this very blog! YES! The one you pooped on!

It’s Mackie not Mackey. Also, he wasn’t the first black super hero, that was the Black Panther (at least in mainstream comics). How do I know these things? Why the Internet of course, which you are on while typing up this dubious twaddle. Get a fucking clue!

Oh yes! I wonder if all those people in Lassie were mutants too? (“what’s that Lassie? Timmy’s fallen down an old abandoned mineshaft onto some uranium?!”). It’s funny how the Falcon has such a “special relationship” with Redwing, it also sounds a bit…dubious. Although that may just be me!

Don´t forget they made Falcon a mutant at one time. His one power? Being able to communicate with his own bird. That was it.

Wow, that is one funky superfly (*superfly*, The Falcon, geddit? Ah, please yerselves! Philistines!) Mego doll! Rick James would be jealous!
Great news that Sam Wilson, the Falcon, will be in the Winter Soldier but I hope he won’t be pushed to the periphery by the exigencies of the plot. I agree with you about the “pimp” turn, I really like Steve Englehart’s work but *that* was a pretty dubious and terrible retcon. It’s odd that the actor mentions the “pimp” stuff surely the social worker stuff is more interesting? Sam Wilson portrayed as a man trying to do the best for the whole community as a man and a superhero. More diversity is of course good (hey, where’s Black Goliath tho’?! Well, dead in the comics). All they have to do now is bring the Monica Rambeau Captain Marvel and the 70s’ Luke Cage – yellow jacket, silver tiara, and all! – to the screen and we’ll really be cooking! Sweet Christmas!
