This is likely the biggest audience that the Avengers movie could possibly get, so they had to make it count. Iron Man is a solid gold sell at this point (so long as Robert Downey Jr. is piloting), Thor and Captain America have pretty much won over the public last Summer and the DVD sales are stellar. The Hulk is an international icon of superheroes/monsters.

The big question isn’t so much what did you think rather than how can Marvel screw this up? The 2012 Avengers film is being presented as a balls-out (pardon me) action flick with plenty of explosions, witty come backs and macho chest thumping.
Again… how can they mess this up?
The big news is of course the flying ‘spacecrafts’ attacking NYC and the first full Hulk sequence (which was very nice).

Personally I think that they over-sold the SFX and under-sold the witty banter seen in previous trailers. They could have used both as that is what makes the comic so attractive and hopefully will be retained in the motion picture version.
