If you can’t find a decent new album, why not buy as remastered version of an old favorite?
This year Rhino will release 10 years of New Order in newly remastered double-disc sets.

In 1980, the band mates of Joy Division were faced with an unusual dilemma after front man Ian Curtis died. The band that emerged was New Order, now regarded as grandfathers of the Electronica music scene. Their 10 albums ranging from Movement to Technique revised the music landscape in ways that are still felt today. Thanks to Rhino, those unfamiliar with these albums have a new opportunity and old fans have a special treat with new material.
From the moody and evocative songs such as the Him on Movement to the experimental dance tracks like Mr Disco on Technique, the band developed an entirely new sound that defined an era.

All is not picture perfect, however, as glitches have been reported on the remastered versions from poor sound quality to pops and digital data missing from certain tracks on each disc. Nevertheless, these albums are vital footsteps in modern music that belong in your collection right next to your copy of Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures.
