The latest release from Cinematic Titanic is the appropriate schlock-horror fest just in time for Halloween, ‘Legacy of Blood.’
The IMDB summary is short and sweet:
“In order to qualify to inherit the family fortune, the four heirs must spend the night in the family estate. However, during the night someone starts killing them off.”
The result is a slew of scenes featuring bad acting, questionable death scenes (it looks like an unlucky couple is ‘magic finger’ed to death) and plenty of off-color jokes.
The fourth film from the folks that gave us Mystery Science Theater 3000, Legacy of Blood continues the grand tradition of talking over a very very bad movie. Interviewed by the Gordon Keith Show, the cast and crew of CT explain that for all their glitz and glam, they’re just a bunch of silly guys.
Like many lounging American viewers, I was dismayed and perturbed when MST3K went off the air, wondering what I would do with myself. Attempts to jazz up movies on my own met with mixed results (and one ‘keep your comments to yourself’ at a Speed Racer marathon… despite widespread laughter from the other guys… but I digress), so what do I do? Thankfully I was saved by Cinematic Titanic who have released 4 films since Christmas 2007 and look to be continuing strong. Phew… you are all safe to watch Speed Racer cartoons in abject silence now.
