The joke seems to be the will/won’t they Kirk/Spock relationship but for me the animation is just hilarious. The Filmation Star Trek cartoon finally allowed the program to do whatever it wanted to, unbound by the restrictions of budget… and it’s pretty disappointing all around. Still, it’s an important part of my childhood so I can’t completely discount it.
A superb mash-up with Pulp’s ‘Common People.’
