The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series continues to amaze me.
This week’s episode not only told the origin story of the web slinger, but also the battle of the psyches between Peter Parker and the alien symbiote. It has been a real treat to see this program develop story lines seen in the monthly comic book and movie series (and surpass both in their story telling).
Eddie Brock‘s anger toward Parker and Spider-Man easily comes across as opposed to the frankly clunky and awkward comic version and just plain horrible tale told in Spider-Man 3. In the coming weeks we’ll see the end of the first season of what can only be described as the Spider-Man cartoon that comic book fans have always wanted.
