Stan Lee and Hilary Clinton?

What a twisted web is woven when comic books and politics collide!

In 2000, Stan Lee apparently hosted a fund raising gala event for Senator Hilary Clinton. Clinton stated in a FEC report that Lee donated $225,000… a statement that Stan Lee says is false. He does, however, admit to passing on a check for $100,00 that former business partner Peter Paul had given him. Paul worked with Lee in the building of the brief business venture Stan Lee Media, a company that went south after Paul admitted to stock manipulation. Paul has a history of drug dealing and other sordid business practices which would make his stance as a contributer to Hilary’s campaign look very bad for the NY Senator.

It looks to me like Stan was being made to be the fall guy again by his old partner.

Never missing a trick, Stan Lee is releasing a book under the company name POW Entertainment called ‘Election Daze’ which features humorous word balloons placed over photos of Presidential hopefuls like Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton. Says Stan: “I’ve always gotten a kick out of combining far-out captions with serious pictures. It’s a great change of pace from writing fantasy tales, although sometimes politics seems more like fantasy than my own stories.”
