New Doctor Who Series 4 Trailer

The Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) and new series companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) are back to travel the gravel pits and industrial basements of Wales in search of rubber monsters and, dare I say it, true love.

Did I miss a meeting where the Doctor changed from being a strange alien traveler into the ideal ‘Mr. Right’ who solves every problem that every woman is searching for? I just started watching Torchwood series 2 and producer RTD has a similar feeling toward Jack Harkness. Was Russ’ Dad not in his life enough?

There are some serious rumblings out there that this series will have a major reveal about who/what the human race is, some say that humans will be revealed as a Timelord project (which is very silly but makes some kind of logical sense when you put all the alien invasions in a line)  or the Daleks (which sounds like a joke and probably is).

Also, word around the electronic message board water cooler is that Billie Piper will return as the official companion Rose Tyler throughout series 5’s movies. This was tried once before (to some extent) with Tegan and made as much sense then as I wager it will make now. The character left at the end of Season 19 only to return in Season 20… which was very odd. In the case of Tegan, it was a ‘why have her leave of she’s just going to come back again?’ and I can hear fans excited to see her return thinking the same thing.

We’ll see this Spring.

The new series of Doctor Who is rumored to start April/May.
