‘Where the Wild Things Are’ movie??

Posted by dailypop on June 21, 2007

Some pics filtered through from the NY Licensing Show this week and one in particular jumped from the pile. An apparent love action adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’

A much loved children’s classic, Sendak’s story about the power and innocence of a child’s  imagination. It’ll be interesting to see how they transform this into a feature film.

Marco Spitoni and CeeGee.net

My friend Gerard turned me on to Italian animator, Marco Spitoni because of his alternate history film, Code Guardian.

An experienced commercial and special effects animator from the advent age of CGI technology in the 80’s, Marco was hired in ‘93 by video game developer Milestone.

As a kind of labor of love, Marco designed several CGI models for Star Wars spacecrafts, later used in his 1995 short film ‘Join the Empire’.

Later, he developed the short movie project:’THE HUNT,’ featuring a futuristic dogfight on a lush alien world complete with robot dinosaur…

More recently, he unveiled one of the most amazing non-commercial CGI films ever seen with his World War Two meets Mecha film, Code Guardian.

If you think Transformers are cool… you ain’t seen nothing yet!
