Mach 5 Go-Go!

Hopefully not realted to the previous post on the world’s worst movies, I just got my first look at the Mach 5 from the upcoming Speed Racer film from those newcomers to the moving pictures, the Wachowski Brothers (of the Matrix and V for Vendetta art films).

With Emile Hersche (of Lords of Dogtown) as Speed himself, Matthew Fox (of Lost) as Racer X, big forehead with a body Christina Ricci as Trixie and John Goodman as Pops Racer, how can you go wrong?

I’m a big fan of the original cartoon and often said that if I ever lived in a cartoon world, it would be Speed Racer’s world. Full of absurd moments that go by far too quickly to be understood, fast cars that could kill you and a precocious monkey dressed just like me… it just seemed right is all.

Ordinarily I hate it when a youtuber puts a song they like to something… but this is just too precious.
